". . . I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and
thanksgiving be made for all, for rulers and all who are in high
positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life . . ."
I Timothy 2: 1-2
Welcome to our prayer chain. We, as a diocese, believe in the
power of prayer. This diocesan prayer list is for use on Sundays and Major Festivals.
You may use it during
the Biddings at the Eucharist, Morning and Evening Prayer, your daily
prayers and in bulletins.
The letter "D" or "P" refers to the date of Ordination to the Diaconate
or Priesthood.
A PRAYER (at daily devotions) O
merciful Jesus, you dwell in the hearts of us your servants; we pray you
to inspire us with your purity; strengthen us with your might; make us
perfect in your ways; guide us into your truth; and unite us to yourself
and to the whole Church by your holy mysteries; that we may conquer
every adverse power, and be wholly devoted to your service and conformed
to your will; who with the Father and the Holy Spirit you live and
reign, God forever. Amen.
