History of YDC [Youth Discover Christ]

 The initials YDC stand for Youth Discover Christ.  The year 2001 brought 75 members of the Diocese of Saskatoon to Camp Kinasao to participate in the first diocesan youth conference.  The youth chose the name Youth Discover Christ or YDC for the youth conference.  Our desire is to provide an environment whereby our youth can discover Christ. 

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

This conference combines music, worship, recreational activities, Biblical teaching, educational opportunities, and basic good fun, to create a weekend experience that celebrates the good news of Jesus Christ.  Participants are invited to askt he tough questions, challenge the tough messzges, and return to their faith community in the full knowledge that theirs is the Kingdom of God and they are the children of God. 

THE FACILITY

Camp Kinasao is a lakeside camping facility with full amenities,

40 kms north of Prince Albert, SK, on the shores of Christopher Lake.

there are hiking trails, sauna, hot tub, canoes, horseshoes, soccer,

baseball, basketball and a beach.  Meals are prepared by an onsite

staff and can accommodate special diet needs. 

Youth Ministry is effective when we genuinely care for our youth and intentionally enter into incarnational relationships with them.
